Dr. Brindha Gunasingham

FitzBiz Investment Analysis & Strategy was founded by Dr. Brindha Gunasingham, CFA, in 2003 and later incorporated in 2015.
Brindha has a wealth of global expertise and intellectual capabilities obtained from over 24 years of experience in the investment and finance industry. These enable her to customise solutions to meet your requirements.
 
In previous roles as the Global Head of Research at AMP Private Capital and the Australasian Head of Research at PricewaterhouseCoopers Financial Advisory Services, she managed research teams in the private equity and investment banking sectors. She spent a number of years conducting research into the Alternative Assets sector, and gained significant experience as an economic consultant, econometric researcher and investment banking analyst, both in Australia and in the UK.

Brindha is a Past President of the CFA Society of Sydney. As a Director of the Society from 2003 to 2014, her roles included President, Vice-President, Member Education Chair and Candidate Education Director. She is currently the CFA Society of Sydney Representative of the CFA Institute Asia Pacific Research Exchange. She enjoys working with boards of directors, having also held a previous Board position at Northside Community Forum, a peak body for carer respite services, and acting as a Board Consultant to the Board of Norco co-operative Limited.

As an academic, Brindha has lectured in investment and corporate finance at a number of universities. She has held senior positions as the Dean of Undergraduate Programs, Full Professor of Economics and Member of the Academic Board at S P Jain School of Global Management in Sydney, Singapore and Dubai. She was also previously the University of New South Wales Finance Co-Op Program Director. She is a co-author of the first and second Asia Pacific editions of Introduction to  Corporate Finance (by Graham, Smart, Adam and Gunasingham) and is currently co-authoring an Asia Pacific edition of an investment text book.

Brindha is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder, and is committed to providing you with the benefits of the latest analytical tools and techniques. She holds a Master of Arts Degree and a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Economics from the University of Cambridge, together with a Master of Science Degree in Economics (focusing on the Asia Pacific Region) from the University of London. In addition, she holds a Doctorate in Banking and Finance (specialising in econometrics) from the University of New South Wales and University of Sydney.

She uses her expertise in quantitative modelling; financial engineering; company and industry research; economic analysis; and valuation work to facilitate investment decisions by clients. Consulting projects she has conducted have involved growth strategies, mergers, acquisitions, private equity investments, project finance deals, business recovery projects and property deals. She has devised global knowledge management strategies, and designed customised databases and research tools. Brindha also provides training in research skills. She was a speaker on the CFA Institute Global Speaker Retainer Program.

FitzBiz was founded by Brindha, in 2003, because she is keen to use her skills and experience to assist clients in the investment and financial industry to improve their performance. Her love of economics and finance began when she was studying at Fitzwilliam College (often called Fitz), University of Cambridge.
